1. What does your Livejournal name mean?
It's as close as I can get to my screen/pen name, Anne Hedonia, which I can't use because it's already being hogged by some emo 'tard who literally hasn't updated since 2004. But I'm not bitter.
2. Elaborate on your default photo?
I'm into true crime -- I'm interested in what on earth happened to serial killers, psychologically, to create them, and somehow, examining the monsters in the closet makes me feel safer. I found the pic used in the icon in the first few pages of
Mary Roach's amazingly funny/informative book "Stiff," which takes a gruesome subject (even I had trouble reading some of the parts) and makes it human and often hilarious. The minute I saw the pic I knew it was an icon.
3. Make up a question.
Why?
4. What's your current relationship status?
Remarkably alone, and surprisingly self-protective, but trying to break out.
5. What EXACTLY are you wearing right now?
My capri-length, old-skool-y sweats from Old Navy, the "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends" t-shirt given to me by
e_ticket and
fidgetcub for my birthday, and--disappointingly--too much product in my hair. I can never judge correctly when my hair is wet. I tried it let it dry naturally, and now I have Glue Hair.
6. What is your current problem?
Guilt over inaction, and too many things on my to-do list, causing said inaction.
7. Who do you love most?
My dad. Bottom line.
8. What makes you most happy?
Jokes that I tell and are gotten; jokes other people tell that I get; sleeping, pets, music and the idea of The Clinch.
9. Are you musically inclined?
Yep.
10. If you could go back in time, and change something, what would you change?
I'd go back to Ford's Theatre and tell Lincoln to duck.
11. If you MUST be an animal for ONE day, what would you be?
A cat who lives on a farm.
12. Ever have a near death experience?
Not really. Once when I was a kid a car was coming and I tripped while crossing the street. It was a VW bug, and I seriously waited in a panic to see what it would be like to have it run over me, but it turned out I was just a kid with an imagination and it had stopped in plenty of time--there was probably never any real danger to begin with. I got up and scurried away.
13. Name an obvious quality you have.
I'm funny. (It's weird that I'm mentioning this, because I had a big conversation with someone the other day about how funny people never actually have to tell anyone they're funny, but you said obvious, so...)
14. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
"Tiny Vessels," Death Cab For Cutie.
15. Who did you cut and paste this from?
rainkatt
16. Name someone with the same birthday as you.
Tallulah Bankhead, Jackie Robinson and Minnie Driver.
17. Have you ever vandalized someone's private property?
I got mad at the stupid washing machines in my building that never work, and as I walked back to the apartment I impulsively dumped the last dregs of laundry soap from my bottle along a space of carpet in the hall. It's made a big, interesting stain to go with ALL the others, just another day in the Crack Den, but I felt stupid soon after doing it.
18. Have you ever been in a fight?
Once, when I was in fourth grade or so, I got into a glaring match with Steve McKenzie on the playground. He did that shove thing with both hands on my chest, like boys do, preparatory to starting a fight but I don't think he realized that he was dealing with a girl, and one that would be developing pretty soon -- he landed pretty squarely on my nipples and the contact hurt like a mofo. That's about as far as it got. There might have been one other time with a girl named Cheryl but mostly I've always been a chicken.
19. Have you ever sung in front of a large audience?
Many, many times.
20. What is the first thing you notice about the opposite/same sex?
Height. Shoulders. Face.
21. What do you usually order from Starbucks?
Grande decaf sugar-free vanilla latte.
24. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity?
Well, if I want to, I can look a lot like Ann B. Davis. :P I've also gotten
Patricia Wettig,
Betty Thomas and from one myopic guy, bless his heart, Laura Dern. I kinda remind myself of Caroline Rhea or Bonnie Hunt.
25. Do you still watch kiddy movies or TV shows?
Do I watch them? I freakin' WRITE them.
26. Did you have braces?
Yes. And many other medieval horror devices.
27. Are you comfortable with your height?
Basically. I sure like tall better than short, but it'd be nice if I didn't have to worry about towering over guys when I wear heels.
28. What is the most romantic thing someone has ever done for you?
Hmm, not sure. There have been a few things, I'm glad to say. I'd have to go with: sneak me out onto a beach and spend the night with me there.
29. Do you speak any other languages?
French, pretty close to fluently. Spanish, with a damn good accent but lousy vocabularly and conjugation skills. American Sign Language, which I used to know quite a bit better. I wish I'd make time to learn more. Languages fascinate me.
30. Do you have a crush on someone on your livejournal?
No. I have before, tho. Not telling who. ;)
