so, it's been a while

so this week is my 6th month anniversary of the knee surgery. crazy. i was good about keeping up my PT routines, but then the work load and my media addictions got a bit out of hand, i will try guilting myself into going, or have maggie do the guilting.

i did go to texas this summer which was good, i really needed to go esp. since my mama is selling her house and has moved to an assisted living place. she is has congestive heart failure, which is odd since that is what my granddaddy had, but he was 350lbs and she is like 90lbs, so it is kind of different. she is over all doing well and my parents are going to go down after thanks giving to disassemble the house. i'm glad i got to be in it once more before they sell it. and i got to go with my dad which is always interesting since he is from there, sort of, and that is always strange to think.

nell is starting to walk and i am missing it which is sad, and she has more teeth. she grows up so fast, i can't stand it, every time the pictures are updated i get these waves of proud/sad almost tears cause i miss her and the rest of my family so much.

thanks giving should be good though. i am taking a red eye train home, 9:45pm-4:30am. i am kind of looking forward to it. taking the train is just a more civilized form of transportation and i get to watch movies and listen to music and sleep and then be met by sarah at one of my favorite train stations. all will be well. also andrea will be joining my family this thanks giving which will be a nice addition. as well as some collingswood folks that i adore.

my siblings and i have been planning chanukka gifts already, and we have decided to make mixes for each other which is nice cause it is meaningful and cuts down on the costs which is good for everyone. and i love their mixes, and i get three! and i love making them as well so it's win all over. and we will all go in on pressies for the rents which will be good considering chanukka is kinda early and i have not been home enough to know what anyone wants. i think it will all work out for the best. i will be moving back home in the middle of the holiday anyway, so this will be good.

moving of course is all hinging on the information i have not received yet. SCOTLAND, if you are listening, get back to me soon. thanks. maggie got in which is great cause it is, but it makes me want to know that much more. we have begun planning the european adventures which is so awesome. i am so excited. if i don't get in i will be the most miserable person next semester. but that will hopefully not be an issue.

i love my friends. both sets. i spent the night on friday with katie at her house which was super fun, then the day in boston with kate and jean which was a hoot and a holler as always. i bought a bunch of little things for myself which is always fun. and i had not been in boston for about a year so it was nice to be the tourist again. and then when i got back i went to a thanksgiving party dressed as a slutty puritan and kate, leeba and i made hats, it was great. maggie was a heathen. and we made hand turkeys with what we were thankful for. it was great.

today i rearranged the hillel library. it was actually fun. at the end though it got kind of crowded cause people kept coming in, but i got almost all of it done. there are still some books unlabled, but over all i am very proud of myself. and i got to listen to music that is not technically appropriate for the work place. and i got more hours in which means more mulah, i am a fan.

this week should be good i guess. i have a stupid project, a quiz, a pre-departure scotland meeting and some other stuff. it's gonna rain all week which is dull and gross. over all i am in a good place though. i just really want scotalnd to get back to me.

p.s. if you have any suggestions about european cities to visit, maggie and i are open to suggestions (we are going a month early to travel)

p.p.s. LEEBA IS PRESIDENT OF HILLEL! possibly the best news ever.
