Now in our third week of class at the lovely Cornell University, I notice that Cornellians switch between two basic modes of function:
1) Working
2) Should be working
Sleep...well, it doesn't happen very much or very often, but people just sorta get used to that and do what they need to do.
Given that, I absolutely love college life. whoever came up with idea of having people live and study at the same place away from home is a genius. i love being able to show up late for class and have it not really matter. i love the fact that the decision is up to us on whether or not to even go to class. i love being able to take a break from work and go hang out with people at 1 AM. i also love having a cafe in my dorm right across from the room that my first class meets on MWF. everyone in our class gets coffee and food before class starts. it's awesome. and today i was just eating corn pops in my room, and i had this craving for chocolate milk. i didn't want to walk all the way to one of the dining halls for it, though, so i went to the cafe downstairs to see if they sold any (cornell sells its own little pint sized milk cartons all over the place so i thought they might have some). They didn't sell any, but the lady made some for me just with normal milk she had and chocolate syrup she had. it was soo awesome! And in our engineering seminar class today, we were combined with this other class, and the other class's advisor brought in apples from the Cornell orchards for everyone! it's just too cool.
and now i've got stuff to do and work to be completed. weeee.
