Overwhelming week is continuing...
Overwhelming week continues… Today, we cut one event during the day off from out plans and it was an OK day. I even had some time to take a nap with Michelle after we got home from brunch. In the evening Yulka invited bunch of people over our house to see everyone she hasn’t had time to see during her stay here.
As I started thinking that the crazy eventful time is getting to the end, I got my calendar notification that reminded me of the conference that I will be attending starting tomorrow afternoon and until Thursday lunch time. The conference is in downtown Mpls and I will be parking my car at work and then walk or take a bus to the Hilton Mpls. That reminds me that I need to get comfortable shoes and umbrella.
I am going to the conference all by myself. I hope I will meet people that I know or meet someone that I will be comfortable to hangout for the next 4 days. I hope I will learn a lot of interesting stuff. It is Minnesota Social Services Association (MSSA) conference. I have never heard of this organization until this year. Work is paying for it and I will get 27 CEUs that I need to keep up my professional credentials.
Being away from the office means that I will have bunch of voice mail to return and appointments scheduled for the next 2 weeks solid. I hate when I am so booked, it just adds stress to my life.
