Last week was super eventful at home and at work. My sister came from CA for a wedding; my cousin-in-law (very good friend of my sister) got married on Thursday night. It was a very beautiful wedding that she managed to plan in 1.5 week!!! The wedding started after 8pm because of the post and we left after midnight. We also got invited to some after wedding party next Wednesday night at Boris’ relatives house.
A day before that, I had a
rehearsal at the theatre after work. I canceled my ballet class on Thursday because I had to get ready for the wedding. Thursday, was actually super crazy day starting from the early morning until the wedding in the evening.
On Friday, In the morning I drove Yulya over my parents house and went to the weekly parsha class and then had to go to work for a meeting. I was like a zombie at that meeting. When I got home, I wanted to get some sleep but instead started cleaning and cooking and in the evening had guests over.
At work, I went to develop relationships with two different
agencies YouthLink in Minneapolis and Hopkins Adult Basic Education center in the Eisenhower Community Center. I will be working in Hopkins site a few times a month. I will see individual clients or do workshops. Also, had number of meetings at work.
This week has been filled with more outside of my usual life activities then I am ready to handle and I got a little overwhelmed. Today, I just wanted to rest and do nothing. I drove Mishka to soccer, then my parents asked me to bring him over. My parents took Mishka and Liza to the Mall of America and in the evening brought both of them over, so Liza is staying overnight here.
My best friend invited us to go out with her to celebrate her anniversary of living in USA but I felt that it is too much plus we just got kids back on Friday night from my parents. I don’t want to overwhelm my parents too all the time. I felt very bad about refusing this invitation. We already had to move her invitation from last week because of Masha’s unexpected wedding and party for the bride to be. I hope we will be able to do something together very soon.
Tomorrow is Purim and we are invited to at least 5 parties. In addition to Purim, my parents want to go out for brunch to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary while Yulya with Liza are still here. So, I am overwhelmed just thinking about our plan for tomorrow. In the morning we will go to the Synagogue with Mishka then brunch and then we need to coordinate with Masha where she will be at the Purim party so we could actually meet her husband in person.
PS. As I am typing this it started raining outside pretty hard. I am afraid that kids (all 3 of them Liza, Misha and Michelle will wake up and be scared). I hope they are sleeping tight and don't even hear it!!!!
