Wow. I completely forgot how good I am at my job and how pleasant some companies can be.

I started at Jam today in London. Got a four week contract, hopefully longer. Seems like a cool place to work.

I'm still officially 'out of work'. I left my last job 8 weeks ago and although I have picked up a couple of bits and pieces here and there I am still without a regular full time job. I have decided that de-friending loads of people on facebook will have to serve as a replacement for buying a rifle and shooting people from the rooftop. Probably, quite wisely so.

The project went live - around 11pm last night - well, kinda. Not very well, with broken data and all sorts of nasties lurking, so today I will be 'Mr TakeituptheAss' for the company as the client becomes more and more incandescent with rage. Till I am out of here. My adrenalin is up and my stress levels stoked today for the this go live tonight. Very difficult conversations with client at the moment.

So I gave notice yesterday - by email - never a good idea in my opinion. I will have to face the boss today to see how things pan out.

The deed is done - notice given. My last day at GSB Associates in Brighton will be 11th May

I told my boss that I was giving notice today. He wants to have a chat with me after work, I'm guessing to talk me out of it. I said I would see the project through, which takes me to the end of the first week in May which is appropriate and it means I can leave with my dignity and pride in tact.
