Vacation

Nothing better than still warm-out-of-the-dryer freshly cleaned sheets.

Today was spent napping, swimming, doing laundry, and watching some much needed tv. It was a good detox from the past two weeks when my family was here.

I am sad they are gone. But we had a good time while we were together. My mom, sister, and I spent 3 days in Myrtle Beach at the first of their trip. It was the neatest thing for me to see my sister swimming in the Atlantic ocean for the first time. We can swim on our coast out West, but you're likely to get hypothermia afterwards. She was like a child in a candy store. She was just beaming with happiness...smiling....crashing with the waves. It was beautiful.

I had to work for 5 days after we got back, so Kathryn was awesome and took my family around and kept them busy. They did paint your own pottery and swam a lot. I couldn't have done it with out her. Although I am pretty sure she never wants to have children with me after handling my sister. My sister can be quite the bratty diva.

We also went to Carowinds (a Paramount theme park in Charlotte) and discovered my sister does not like roller coasters. It was so freaking hot there, too. We went on a few rides and saved the water park for last. We were going to go to one more water ride so we went and got in line. It was a rafting ride on this fake river. We were all standing on the covered bridge waiting and she said all of a sudden, "I think I need to sit down." So I said go ahead...I'll help you...and then her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she slumped down to the floor. Kathryn and I caught her and brought her down to sit and she was shaking. She was out for probably a minute. I kept fanning her and nudging her saying "Mom....mom....MOM" with no response. Finally I said loudly, "VERA!!!" and she woke up and looked up at me like, "Why are you yelling at me??" She said she was dreaming. I really thought she was having a seizure. I still don't know that she wasn't, but it was likely the affects of the heat and possible heat stroke. We went to the water park after that. LOL.

It scares me because she has passed out randomly 4 times in the past 6 months. The last time she did it, she was in her bathroom at home and passed out and hit her head on the counter and had to get staples in her head. She is on 3 different blood pressure medications and her blood pressure at the last reading was back down to normal. I figure she doesn't need all 3 any more and it is probably making her pass out, but I don't know.

We also watched a lot of cute movies. Mamma Mia! (so cute!!), Definately maybe, 27 dresses, Spiderwick Chronicles (great movie!), and Penelope.

It was great to see them. My sister has grown so much. And Kathryn and my mom got to spend a lot of time together which I think was good.

I'll post pictures later when I finish cropping them.
