My car (or rather, the car I'm hoping to get) has a bent valve and a blown piston, judging by the diagnostic test I ran today. I don't even know how that could possibly happen, but it's going to cost me a lot. I haven't looked at the other two I'm supposed to work on yet- hopefully they're not as bad.

Mathilda has the garage door open and the Jeep backed halfway out, hood popped open. Next to her, on a bench edging the driveway, there's a toolkit and a cordless phone. She's in the process of removing the guts from a sparkplug, which is a lot less interesting than it sounds.
