So I've always prided myself on not being that freaked out by cockroaches. I never pretended to find them as pleasant creatures, but out of my friends, I was the one who wasn't running around screaming at the sight of one. I always like sharing stories about how a cockroach was in my mom's boot at church one day and how when my dad gets cockroaches he squishes them next to my mom's ear to freak her out. I love those stories, they make me laugh, because I know I normally wouldn't react in the same way. Even in the Philippines, when there was this gigantic flying cockroach, everyone was freaking out, but I was fine. And that was a long time ago. Apparently, I've grown a little soft, and my feminine sensibilities are beginning to get the best of me. Today I was a little freaked out because there was this really huge roach in our living room, scurrying around. I was watching it to see where it went, got the Raid, and went searching again for it. I finally found it and I started to spray it. Well, for some reason, it started running towards my feet as I sprayed it. Je dois l'avouer, I gotta confess, it totally freaked me out seeing it scurrying towards me and I couldn't help but let out a little yelp.
Yet again, the manliest thing I can do is eat really spicy food. Even then, it makes my ears burn.
I just have to face it. I'm a girly girl, through and through.
But hey, at least I'm tougher than this guy.
