(no subject)
i made it home in one piece, though it took me about 45 hours:
false start in bangkok, 4 hour delay.
half a night at a weird hotel in bangladesh sharing a room with 3 guys.
next stop in dubai (AMAZING airport but my dream is to stay at the seven star hotel there and i didn't even get to leave the aiport).
a million hours to brussels (beautiful cloudy cool 55ish degrees outside)
a million more to new york.
no movies, terrible food, and a gentlemanly but kind of annoying seatmate who kept changing my radio station to the hindi pop song channel and trying to translate the lyrics into english for me. he also gave me two rupees and poured sugar in my tea and made me eat my rice pudding.
luckily my flu chilled out after 5 miserable days and i'm feeling a lot better.
awesome things about being home:
-drinking water from the sink
-fresh, clear air that i can actually breathe without feeling like my lungs will explode
-my cat (who's still in the ignoring me stage)
-a new SOFT PRETZEL BAKERY in chestnut hill!
i wonder how long i can avoid thinking about what i'm actually going to do with myself now.
