(no subject)
First, and most importantly, I'm sending my thoughts and prayers to the people of Haiti. I can't stand to look at/read the news reports, but I can't not look at them either. It's just awful, and I wish I could do something--anything--to help these people. I'm feeling very small and helpless and useless here...and very, very lucky to live where I do and have the advantages I have.
And there's someone on my flist who is having a really rough time of things right now, and I wanted her to know I'm thinking of her, too.
Everything else I was going to say just seems very trivial after that. Seriously, my boss e-mailing me from San Diego 10 times today seemed like a much bigger deal earlier today than it does now.

I did want to squee, just a little bit, though. Nominations are up at the hpgw_otp, and I've got two things nominated-- Suspicious Circumstances, a drabble/ficlet I wrote for hpgw_drabbles in November, for Outstanding Drabble or Ficlet, and Ron from Matchmaker was nominated for Outstanding Use of a Secondary Character. I have to admit, I'm thrilled beyond belief for that second nomination--Matchmaker is one of my favorites of all the things I've written.

And! Now there's a bunch of great H/G fic and art conveniently listed right there in one post! :D
Nominations are open until January 26th, which will give y'all lots of time to go through and read everything (and stare at the artwork!) before you vote (which you should all do, unless, of course, you're like coffee_n_cocoa, and the thought of Harry and Ginny together makes you break out in hives :P)
