First Day of Spring
Then why is it so cold (on the thermometer)? Better get nice quick...I'm pretty much done with winter. Have been, like, since the day it started.
Ok, SO for once in my life, I have things to update. I feel bad because I haven't written in almost 3 weeks. Oh well. Here it goes:
Biggest news first: I GOT INTO NYU!!!! I'm moving to New York at the end of the summer!!!! :-D Which is AWESOME. They got back to me in less than 3 weeks, and they needed a reply and a deposit by today, so it's official. I'm going. (Ha, like I would pass that up!) And I just found out that Tony Tony got in too...he's going for drama therapy, which is amazing. I'm extremely proud of him. Hot Stuff.
Second, I have a job interview at Johannson's this Friday. This means I can finally quit Old Navy, and I can deduce my hours at the Po' Ho' by a lot. Like, I'll work every other Sunday morning for like 4 hours. I don't know why I can't just bring myself to quit, I guess I'm waiting for school to end. I don't plan to stay there this summer. So yeah. Pining for a new job where I can make REAL money. Bah.
Florida was AWESOME!! I had so much fun...got a tan, relaxed, cleared my head, and most importantly, discovered how much fun Shanks is. The trip brought us a lot closer, and it brought her close with my sister too. That to me, was more rewarding than any amount of sunshine or palm trees, though they certainly helped :-)
Formal is on Friday. My personal goal was for everyone to bring a Phi Kapp. For the most part, that's worked out. haha...I'm bring this guy Jake, and he's a good time, so I'm going to have an awesome time. Plus Shaney will be there, which rocks, and we're all going to look pretty, get smashed, and laugh ourselves into oblivion. Should be great.
Let's see. The longer I sit here and type, the longer I get to delay getting ready, and the longer I get to sip my coffee...which tastes weird. Like Chocolate Raspberry freezer-burn. Mmmmmmmm
Last night was big/little night, and Alicia became part of our family, along with Jackie and Brittany Cooper. Awesome. We've now grown to 8 (EIGHT) girls at school...that means that in family photos, EIGHT of our family members are present. Kata...you should love to know that we are the BIGGEST and the BEST! :-D I'm so happy :-)
I've developed a deep love for Akon. That's all I wish to say about it though. I fear I will lose my friends otherwise.
I need for the sun to come out. I want to go outside with my friends and drink wine and have picnics, and play my guitar, and in general, act a fool. I miss doing that. Sucks we can only do it the last few weeks of school. LITERALLY the last few weeks. AHHHHHHHH!!! Oh well. I have almost a complete plan for the next year. The only missing piece is where I will live this summer while I work 2 jobs. May have an answer to that soon, too. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

And finally, my guitar that I painted, collaged, mosaic-ed, and basically loved on all last semester got into the student art show, and the opening is next Tuesday in Rice, so you all should come. I'm going to dress up, there's going to be wine, etc. Should be a good time.
