here come the lesbians
Yesterday night I saw the band Lesbians on Ecstasy. They were amaaaaazzzzzing! Scott said I never looked like I had had so much fun! I danced my ass off to the point where I thought if I didn't get a drink of water I might have a heart attack but I was not going to lose my front row view. I was so stoked, that while dancing, I was totally screaming in my head "FUCK YEAH LESBIAN REPRESENTATION!"
And later I thought how I had never actually seen an all lesbian band! Tegan & Sara don't count because they are almost always accompanied by their male back-up band. This was just all women- all lesbians - occupying a very defined space. Hello, feminist values! So awesome. So amazing. So glad I got to be part of it. And disappointed that so many people didn't come after I invited them. They really missed out. I wish everyone was as stoked as I was about everything!
