Some of my most vivid early childhood memories are of sobeys, the mic mac mall(in dartmouth)and of my nanny cutting up cooked lobster and giving me little bites from the kitchen counter.

ONE MORE THING I FORGOT. The smell of salt that you get when you're driving to the beach and you get about 20 minutes away. Sometimes I smell that smell in ontario and it's caused by gross smog or whatever, but I could close my eyes and believe I was close to the ocean again.

If you also imagine me tugging on my nanny's apron you would have an acurate picture!
The orange and green sobeys colours are such a memory trigger. When I moved here I always wondered why we never went to sobeys anymore.

Aww! Little kitchen memories are such happy memories!

Also, apparently there are one or two Sobeys' in Ottawa! One in Kanata and one in... the East end somewhere maybe? I don't know. I want to find them and go and stand in the seafood section and proclaim "I'M HOME!!!"
