I'm a new Donna. I'm the same Donna who recently signed the guest-book over at your John Castle Gallery. Then I followed the link from there to here. Found--even--more--John--Castle-y--goodness--! [Swoons.]
Our two cats love to chase our creepy-crawlies. Our particular plague are speedy multi-legged horrors known as house centipedes. When our kitties are through with them, usually all that's left are some legs. Or the thing without its legs. Our cats are also very good about notifying us when the ants attempt their annual spring invasion. Aaaaand shredding upholstery, and trying to chew up plastic bags and rubber bands, and rip up paper. But nobody's perfect.
Welcome! It's a bit shocking how many JC fans are named Donna... you are the third I have encountered (that comes to mind - there may be more that have emailed me.) I just added you as a friend - If you haven't figured things out yet, that means that a lot of posts on my journal that were locked are now viewable for you. And - Use the " john_castle" tag to see all the posts about him - You will find a LARGE QUANTITY of things that I have not posted on the site yet. I always post new stuff here right away, but have found keeping the site updated a bit challenging this past year.
But nobody's perfect.
Actually, I think my Zelda might very well be... She has been the most trouble free cat EVER. It's more a matter of what she *doesn't* do. :-)
PS - Most awesome icon EVER. Did you do that yourself?
You mean there's more Castles that I haven't even seen yet? Whoo-hoo! Christmas came early and I didn't even leave a cookie for Santa.
I have read your posts about Zelda 'cause I'm such a cat person. I hope she's doing better. Boy cats are the worst about being trouble, in my experience. Piddle. Anywhere. Compared to the hassle of having to keep things obsessively clean with enzymatic cleaners ("to prevent re-soiling," yeah right), our two girls' chewing and scratching is a minor headache. And the furniture scratching would be less of a problem if I'd keep their claws trimmed like I should. Being lazy brings its own punishment, I guess.
I did indeed make the icon myself. That is, I borrowed this pic, made an Obamicon with it, and tweaked the colors and size over at Photobucket. The full-size pic, with a tip o' the hat to your site, is posted here. Thanks to you!
Yes, there's a few of us here... eldrichhobbit is my closest friend and a huge fan. There are a half dozen others, but they have been a bit distant this past year - You may see them come out of the woodwork if I post anything juicy.
I didn't realize that the most recent posts about Zelda were so depressing - before her illness a few months ago, there is much cute pic spam to be had. Zelda recovered from her close call and is doing pretty well. But she's old. I'm not sure how much more time I will have with her.
I didn't know about that generator - It's SO COOL!!! I will be playing with it muchly. :)))
(i'll get this post right if it kills me)aka_ladydonnaMarch 18 2009, 02:02:09 UTC
Juicy John posts? Awesome.
It takes me a while with the Obamicon to get the colors and the placement just right. Such a chore, looking at John, tweaking the colors, looking at John, moving the pic, looking at John. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
I'm so completely unable to do image manips it's pathetic. But I just found Frank's icons. Now I'll be able to make my own little JC mood thingies. Feeling a bit smug? Yes.

Are one of the Donna's I've "met", or someone new?
