I have a cunning plan
I seem to have forgotten to post for three days... That's because I'm an ADDICT and when I get a new idea into my head, I can't be arsed to stop for things like food, or sleep, or work...
I have discovered the world of 1/6 scale action figures. And since the Beeb hates us and likes to keep us wanting for-fucking-ever, I am building my own Ianto. And Jack, too... I'm finding just about everything. There is a serious amount of shit out there for action figures - This is AWESOME.
It's the heads that will be the stumbling point... I can do one of two things:
Wait until they produce a Jack and Ianto 12" action figure, using any ole' stand-in (In other words, sit here until I die and the flesh on my bones turns to dust and I return to the Earth.)
or
I can find some clever person who does (or knows someone who does) customized action figure head modification. So, are any of you into this (or even know what the hell I'm talking about?) Please point me to the crafty people who do this stuff and might make a couple of heads for me on commission... Or even convince me that I can do it myself (although I doubt it.)
In the meantime, I'm tracking down the closest thing I can find to the two of them in the premade heads - Which will still require me to do a little painting as the Ianto I've chosen currently has blond hair. But I think the face is pretty darn close, all things considered. Jack will be trouble. If you are dabbling in this sort of thing, there is an *awesome* reference for identifying premade heads and whom they so closely represent, they can be modified for use with a little paint HERE. Should I move on to other fandoms, that site has done a huge amount of the hard work in just figuring out what to look for.
I'm negotiating cost with the seller of the remote control SUV (yeah, this is gonna be *seriously* cool) and all the bits and pieces need to arrive and be put together. And I'm going to have to make a few things... But I see it all in my head and it *ROCKS*

We'll see if I manage to make this project convincing enough to haul it along to conventions and show off... I doubt my crafty abilities (I may be hitting you up for ideas and guidance) and/or stamina to see this through (it's been years since I've played around with this kind of stuff.) But the *goal* is to customize the SUV and get Jack and Ianto convincing enough that I'd bring it all along with me to TARDIS and wow the crowds.
