Proswatch Community Viewing: Everest Was Also Conquered
I like this episode as a "lads" episode - Pretty much one favorite moment together after the next, all the way through... But there isn't much else to say about it really. The story has never really gripped me. There are some nice Cowley moments - You don't always get that. Anyway, I'm sure my squee has already been pretty well covered by others but I'll post what made it onto my notepad as I watched (should it interest you) - With some caps:

Rookie dies - locker prank... Love everything about Cowley's speech.
When they're talking about the lesbian couple I love that they are coming from a place of neutral understanding about it - no gay jokes or judgments.
Love the drink in the face thing - the whole sequence, really.
That whole scene with the hunting guide and B/D all winded from hiking in was LOL.
I'm fascinated with the break room - Not sure what it is about me but I always want to go through people's *STUFF*. Even the remastered DVDs don't really allow much insight into the kind of crap that accumulates in the CI5 breakroom but I can't help but looking...

Lew is SO DAMN GOOD with those last little moments in the episode when they give him some little thing to play with... Like the Phillipa/phone number thing (one of my favorite Bodie moments ever) and this little gem... I adore what he does with his face. :))) And my Ianto luv has given me a new appreciation for sideburns - Love what's going on with Lew's hair here.

I find myself in an interesting place - The kind of place you *usually* find yourself in *fanfiction* when someone abuses some tiny reference to something until you're half mad with it... Only this time it's *canon* - I'm really, really done with the Pure Malt Scotch thing... I am so fucking tired of them going on and on and on about it... Maybe I just don't appreciate it as I should but augh! Shut up already!
