It seems Hillary Clinton has won Pennsylvania. Color me UNSURPRISED. However, the talking heads on MSNBC are making me want to hurt all of them (except Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow). I am so sick of this WHY CAN"T BARACK BEAT HILLARY IN BIG STATES crapola. Was no one PAYING ATTENTION when they were comparing Pennsylvania to Ohio and showing how demographically they are VERY similar, with the the major exception being that the population in PA is even OLDER (thus favoring Hills)? Or how about the fact almost every major figure in the state endorsed her?
I swear to God on election night in November, I better make sure I have plenty of alcohol on hand because I can see me needing it.
My dad and I were getting so pissed, we ended up putting on a movie just to chill us all out. We watched a lovely film called
Saint Ralph, which is all about a kid who believes if he wins the Boston Marathon his mom will wake from her coma. It's a very sweet movie, and the young actor who plays the kid really was believable in the role. As a bonus, Campbell Scott plays the priest who helps him train for the big race. And I feel very dirty for saying this, but damn did he look good in a cassock! It's a Canadian film, so when the movie shifts to Boston for the race it looks NOTHING like the actual place (even if the movie was set in 1954). Despite that, I highly recommend it, but if sports movies tend to give you the sniffles (like me!) bring your tissues.
