I saw the fifteen millionth "Don't be a girly-man--vote Republican!" bumpersticker today (no, I really, really wish I were kidding). This led me to construct a long rant about that sentiment specifically and the current political climate in general. I would share it with you; however, the fact that I can't tell if
this T-shirt 1 is kidding or not renders me rather incoherent on that topic.
I will say this, though:
Syriana's not coming to this town. I somehow have the feeling that it has something to do with theatre-owners realizing that their customer base, the same ones who can say 'Operation Iraqi Freedom' with a straight face, will probably blow them up if they show it, or at least picket them viciously. ::sigh:: I am, however, planning to travel to the college town next door, which IS showing it. (Only at 10:00 pm, though, and it's the only cinema in the entire tri-cities area--120 000 people--that is. What, we're not at all biased about the movies we show in our theatres, no!)
