Home on a Friday Night
So yeah, thats basically it.
I feel like i should be out partying or something. But then I did that last night and Im probably gonna do it tomarrow night. But i gues thats how is at 22 always on the go or thats just me...haha.
But i didnt just stay at home, i went to a open mic at gellert park for the youth. It was really dope, such talent at such an age with i think little or no training. Im espeically thinking about the singers. Cuz i was trained to sing, although i dont use it and i have really good ear singers, and to hear the youth sing made my heart clench a little, cuz they where soo good, "soo much potential" as my choir director told me at their age. Yeah it brought me back to High School it was coo, and they sang really corney love songs, hahaha i was like "they need some butta on dis shit, cuz this be hella corney" haha. They also had really good MC's and spoken word too, all which too made me jelous and wish that i had exposure to such art their age. but still soo soo talented its fuckin amazing.
ya then i end up at box's house, and we watched tv cuz we couldnt think of anything else to do. But then too ended up to be really interesting. we ended up watching on VH1, go figure, this documentary on sexploitation of women in hip hop videos. it was very well done, it me hate my self for being a man... but then i realized i was gay..haha and i dont treat women that way. but it was insightfull on the lives of music video models as they say. Their live and the shit they have to take from these dudes. and they brought it back to old school hip hop how it wasnt like that, and it got to bling shit and stuff. i was like wow this pretty good for VH1.
Also making me think of these hip hop workshops geard for gay asians im gonna take pretty soon. Yes, Hip Hop for gay asians, at the api wellness center, it really interesting they have session of hip hop and activism, dancing, poetry and DJing. Im going in with no expectations, im going in to offer what i know, and to get something back, yes. I wanna DJ that be tight, I know good music and beats id be hella good. OH and they give you like a 100$$ Stipend too!!! so i was like alright then. So yeah that what im gonna do for the month of august. Till school starts, and find a job, OHH IM SOO POOR!!! yeah it sucks. im feeling the more petty then bougie part of my class background. (i hella wanted to buy this shirt today at against all odds, it was lime green and had and AK on it, thats all i gotta say)
