Well, I rolled into Clovis yesterday, and spent today getting the house set up for Christmas. I had such an amazing time in Atlanta. It was really great to see everyone again. To all who I missed---I'm back in January, January 20th to be exact, so you'll get another chance soon. And this time I won't have to do the holiday song and dance.
I think that the most interesting thing that happend was meeting Josh. Mim had invited him to the shindig at her place, and we had really good comic talk. Within the next few weeks, I realized that he knew some people that I knew...in fact, he was bandmates with a pretty good friend of mine who I had lost touch with recently. I got to see them play, and they are really good! Furthermore, Josh and I share a similar sense of humor (although mine is undeniably wackier), and he has a shrewd intelligence that is reminiscent of a kinder, less condescending Dirksie.
Josh told me about a young man, who he knew of from work, and while many of you already got this email from me, here it is again...
His name is Nick Waters, he's 17 years old, and he lives in Canton, GA. My friend told me that for Christmas, Nick wants to get 10,000 Christmas cards. I told him I would help in whatever way I could. I know this sounds like some hokey thing, but I assure you that this is legit. I am sending a Christmas card to Nick, and it would really mean a lot if you could participate too. Just send him a card with a nice holiday message.
The cards should be sent to

Please help out with this!
I hope that my collegiate pals have survived their finals, and that they have managed to get home safely. I'll update more later.
