When Ronon had got into the game however, Brendan wasn't acting very Wraith-like, in fact, Brendan was downright polite and sociable with his intended prey. It didn't surprise Ronon in the least bit, as Brendan was just like that.

He groaned, lying in a daze for a moment, his head spinning. He totally hadn't seen that coming.

Ronon approached slowly, giving his stick a bit of a twirl. Brendan was still kind lying where he had landed. It was looking to be like an easy kill.

Readjusting his grip on the stick with both hands, Brendan held Ronon's gaze through the holes in the mask, getting ready for Ronon's next move.

Ronon ran wide, veering to the left, deciding to circle and come around again. Moving the stick to his left hand, Ronon reached down for his gun, giving it a twirl as he powered it up. Brendan had never seen it in action, this was going to be good. Making sure it was set to its more impressive 'kill' mode, Ronon charged in Brendan's direction, aiming purposely for the tree in front of him and blasting it.

"OH MY GOD!" Brendan instinctively ducked, covering his head as he made a sharp turn right, away from the ex-tree and into a completely different direction from the one he'd been going in.

It was dark, so for someone who had never traveled the area before, they were sure to move with a little more caution, no matter how fast they could run. Brendan sped up his own pace, worrying less about watching where he was going, and relying more on his memory of what he knew was there.
Rock, rock, tree, tree, tree - Brendan dodged and weaved between them with little thought or caution and reached an arm up, ripping a branch off a low hanging limb as he ran under it.

Fifteen paces ahead would be a rather tight bundle of trees, standing in close proximity to each other, tall and slim and wiry, and Brendan sped up a little to get to them. When he knew he was about three feet away, Brendan turned again, darting around them to head for a bare, moon-soaked clearing.

He jogged forward a few paces to the nearest tree and leaned heavily against it, catching his breath with both sticks raised, and waited for Ronon to come find him.
