Ana: La Belle Au Bois Dormant Review

Aug 31, 2007 19:29

From the Site: The Sleeping Beauty. A gentle, lovely scent, slightly soporific, but beautiful in its quiet repose. Plumeria and white pear, Damascus rose, tuberose, magnolia and evening dew.

Bottle Whiff: This was almost candy smelling to me. I had it pegged this morning when I sniffed it the first time, but I can't recall it. I just sniffed again and yeah, candy-ish smelling. From reading the description on the site, I can now say it's the pear that I'm smelling.

Wet on Skin: The rose comes out strong on my skin and it fights with the pear. That's all I can really pick out.

Dry on Skin: Once it dried somewhat, the rose melded with the pear and stuff and it reminded me of the scent they used to use in children's bubble bath. You know, the stuff that used to come in the bottles shaped like Barbie and My Little Pony and stuff? (Do they still have those?) So on my skin it's a soapy, rosey smell with a hint of the pear.

I think it's a fun, girly scent, but at the same time a touch flirty and classic and, well, squeaky-clean-just-bathed. If I had to bottle puppy love? This would be it.
