There seemed to be some confusion yesterday as to what exactly our store's purpose was.
First call of the day:
Me: Good morning, [Book Store], may I help you?
Caller: Do you sell sporting goods?
Me: Um....no.
Caller: Oh. Because I googled 'sports', and yours was the first thing to come up.
Me:....We're a book store.
Caller: Interesting.
Later that day:
Me: Good afternoon, [Book Store], may I help you?
Caller2: Yes, can you tell me about the food bank in the mall?
Me: Um...no. We're a book store.
Caller2: Oh. Because I was told that you knew about it. This is the number I was given (she reads off a number. It is, in fact, ours).
Me: I'm sorry, I can't help you. I don't know anything about it, or why they'd use our number.
Caller2: Interesting.
I know people see us as the information kiosk, but this was bizarre.
wtf?,
