Welcome Christmas

Dec 14, 2006 22:24

Today was the museum Christmas lunch. I'd thought that it was just going to be a couple of sandwiches in the back room, and then back to work. Instead, there was a whole spread. Most shocking of all, it was set up in the gallery. Like, where the displays are. It's a good thing the curator wasn't there to see us desecrate the museum.

Perhaps because of the lunch, I am feeling oddly festive today. I even found myself singing along with a Christmas song. Admittedly, the song is question was "The Christmas Tree from Hell", but nevertheless, the fact remains that I was singing along to holiday music.

You know, this year I wanted just an artificial tree
But noooo you said, a real pine scents the air so beautifully
Well, now the stench of brimstone will let all the gents and ladies know
We brought home the Christmas tree from Hades!
(That's Greek for hell)

Today I also put up my wee Christmas tree (from anik, not hell), and busted out my new festive penguin soap dispenser. It looks swell.
