Word. UM is not bad, actually good, but of course they are not Phish. I actually enjoy Trey's band more than I enjoy Phish, so while I am sad Phish has come to an end, I have made my peace.

I checked out some UM today and I like them...I think I'm going to go see them in Ft. Wayne June 3 if you want to come Laura...10 bucks. Trey's band is more orchestral, which is cool, but I love Phish. To be fair, nobody beats '72 and '77 Dead. Nobody.

I'm down. If I don't have to work, which is quite probable.

if i see you in black garb, i'll understand why anonymous May 27 2004, 09:11:49 UTC
tis a sad day for sure, but they can only go on so long. i personally am not apt to pay $40-50 to watch some old men with canes and wheelchairs trying to play music like they were a bunch of young whipper-snappers. at least they're quitting when things are good and they have a good name, instead of quitting once everyone is like, "i'm so tired of them". word. glad you get to go. :)

i don't know...... agardcheeto May 27 2004, 09:30:15 UTC
I still want to see the Dead, and they're in their 50's! There was an interview with Trey, and he said that he's just into it anymore (some say because of his drug problem, some say due to his age, etc.) and I guess they shouldn't go on if he's not into it and his playing is sloppy...but man, what a shame.
