This has all been wonderful, but now I'm on my way....
Well, the announcement came from Trey Anastasio yesterday via www.Phish.com. Phish is no more. Apparently Trey is just not into it anymore. I am extremely sad. I first got into Phish when I was about 15, at the beginning of their 2 year break. I devoured their stuff and learned to love them. I never did get to go to any shows, due to my parent's inability to trust me because I am a dumb kid. This summer will be my first Phish shows. And they're done!!! Man, this blows. Phish's last ever shows will be held in the middle of a 4 day camping and music festival in Vermont. Mr. Ryan Cummings and I are seriously debating going. Gotta go, Dony just showed up and I have to go get 20 bucks to give him in order to save his checking account. Sheesh, lol.
Phish fans, look for Umphrey's McGee or String Cheese Incident to step up to the proverbial jamband plate. SCI is good, and I am currently checking out the merits of UM. Man, I have to see a Dead show before those guys quit. I can't believe those guys keep that up after almost 40 years. Although I don't know how good they are now. Anyhoo, gotta go. I am sad. So sad. Very sad. I'm out.
