tonight is my big concert, Cayuga's Waiters Spring Fever 31. It will be really great---50+alumni from the group are coming back, about half the sigma chi house is coming and so are all my buddies. I'm pumped---and i have a solo, Chariot, by gavin degraw. When i told my parents about my solo, they were excited, expected. Unexpected that on wednesday, my mom bought a plane ticket to come to Ithaca, New York on Friday afternoon only to leave saturday morning. She is flying into some random PA airport and driving 2 hours to get here. wow. my parents really love me, and it feels really good--- i just hope i dont fuck up the solo and make the trip a waste---
in other news, i get initiated into Sigma Chi tomorrow night. It is a 2 day process, and by the end of it, i will be a brother. It has been a grueling 11 weeks of pledging, my only reprive was spring break. But now I have shown my desire to be a brother, and as cliche as it is, it truly is a brotherhood that i want to be a part of. Yes, the fraternity is "chicks and beer---frat dawg---wwwhwaaaaaa" but it also is based on a set of values that I really agree with. So I'm happy about that.
I failed my math midterm last night. Second one of the semester. First time around, i got a 47%, this time I was hoping to do well so i could pass the class and not have to take it at PCC this summer/get a job and make money/relax from school. Now I will have to. FUCK. ps, im skipping math right now to write this entry. I suppose i should at least make an earnest effort and go to class.
Finally, I went to the mall this morning. I had my white button-down shirt ruined during hell week, and i only realized it this morning. So i quickly took a bus to the mall and bought a new one at gap. I tried abercrombie, adam, i really did, but they didn't have any----
oh, and im really excited to go to europe for a month this summer. I leave straight from ithaca to amsterdam, so i wont be home for a long time, but it will be worth it. I don't know how Im going to get to Turkey, which is where my flight home leaves from, but i guess thats part of the adventure.
