"This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb" show

Punk/Folk punk still lives, its ship is a van and its fuel is Plan-it-X records.

The Show - Well it started off with the "Lil' Runts". They were not that great, maybe on a CD recording they rock but live I wasn't impressed or buying the record (not sure if they had any). They had a chick singer and it seemed like they just let her sing because she had the sides of her head shaved and she was cute.

The next band was "Shit Storm" and if this band ever comes near your town you must go. If you don't go you'll most likely live a very sad life. They had a girl singing lead playing bass/ accordion/ washboard and a guy playing guitar and singing lead. They had a girl playing a horn of some sort/hand drum/back up vocals, a guy playing violin and a girl playing drums/back up vocals. At one point they handed out pots and pans for kids to play along with them. I was sold when I heard the lead girl say, "this next song is about Quantum Physics". With lines like "I don't believe in anything, it's all made of super-strings" and a chorus that goes "I'm getting madder and madder at matter that dosen't matter." After they played there was a mad rush to the merch table everyone was trying to get their hands on a patch or CD. I bought a CD and a small patch because they only had one back patch left and I felt like being generous to the other kids.

"This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb" was really awesome. I don't really have much to say on them besides they rock and they are really cool people and they play great music. That's about it.

----Update : I tried to find a link or a web-page for the "Shit Storm" band and sadly there's is about three other bands with that name. Which means they will probably change there name someday because the other band seems well established. The other band also appears to be a metal band so if you go to a "Shit Storm" show expecting Folk Punk, well it might be a metal show.-------
