(Interview done in last December)

Questions:

Q1 What are some "Congratulations" stories that have happened to you so far?

Q2 Are you the type to arrange a celebration? or have celebration arranged for you?

Q3 Something you have done recently?

Kouchi Yugo:

A1: In my birthday, my friend suddenly came to my house, and forced me to go with him by a car to some restaurant and we celebrated there lol. I was surprised but also happy.

A2: I prefer to be the one who arranges a party. I'm a super-surprise-evening party type lol. I tend to be noticed by other people in the party because I easily laugh.

A3: In the holidays, I cleaned my entire room. At that time, I sold a fair amount of my clothes to a shop that buys them. And now, I'm in a trouble because I have nothing to wear lol. For that reason, I think I'm going to buy clothes in the coming holidays lol.

Matsumura Hokuto:

A1: I cried when my parents told me that Santa isn't coming this year. But, I told myself "This means that I've become an adult! Congrats me!!" I congratulated myself lol.

A2: About arranging a party for people by myself, I feel ridiculous if I do it; I'm not very good at it... For me, what I usually do is, when people give me a present in my birthday, I give them a present in return later on. I'm living by depending on others lol.

A3: This is unusual but me and Juri went out to eat rice together. It was a little awkward LOL, but it was refreshing, and we had fun talking about a lot of things.

Morimoto Shintaro:

A1: When I was doing Karate, I won the tournament and my dad took me out to eat. During allocation of parents and children, we came in the 3rd place, and he was veery happy and said "Alright! Let's go out to eat!"

A2: I'd want to be the one who throws a party. I like to plan and arrange parties. Speaking about this, in 2015, I planned a Christmas present exchange between SixTONES and Snow Man, and in 2016, I'm planning to do it again for sure.

A3: Jin (Jinguuji Yuuta) and I are in the middle of planning a party for Iwahashi Genki's 20th birthday. We are secretly collecting messages from many people for him. It's hard, but when I imagine Genki's happy face, I get more excited.

Tanaka Juri:

A1: Some time ago, we had a celebration for my coming of age and my younger brother's and niece's school entrance. Our family and relatives all came and we had yakiniku. I was happy that everyone came to the gathering.

A2: It's fun to be the one who arranges the party, and I also would be happy if someone arranged one for me. In case someone else arranged a party for me, my reaction is very important, I'd exaggerate and say "Ehh! I'm really very surprised!" and that's about it lol.

A3: My weight has been increasing. During the time I was training for Johnny's Island, I got tired emotionally and I ate a lot, so as a result, my belly fat feels squishy around my costume belt. I've started muscle training, and since the butai has started already, I have to... go back to my previous weight...

Kyomoto Taiga:

A1: For my high school graduation party, I went with my parents to eat a meal, it was really impressive. I was happy that they told me "From now on, do your best in in the path that YOU like."

A2: I like throwing a birthday party for the people who are close to me. Celebrating with few people comfortably is the best.

A3: My friend has arranged a birthday party for me. He brought with him an actor whom I was not acquainted with very much at that time, but he gave me a present so I was really thankful. I started to feel that "Having connections with people is a good thing." LOL

Jesse:

A1: When I was learning swimming, my parents bought me icecream whenever I passed a test. When I thought about it, it was only for 150YEN which is cheap.... but as a child I was veeery happy; it was something special lol.

A2: I rather throw a party by myself. I like to plan surprise parties because I want to see the happy faces of others.

A3: Yesterday, I went to eat out with Juri and Shintaro. The 3 of us always tell silly stories and laugh out loud together. Talking about things like "Where do you start washing when you take a bath?" and really anything like that. It's somehow amazing how we get excited about these things LOL.

Crosstalk:

── Jesse's hamaka surprisingly suits him.

Juri: This year, Jesse is finally having his coming of age ceremony.

Hokuto: Yes!! Congrats!!

*Everyone is clapping*

Jesse: I'm happy. So, what kind of advice do you have for me?

Shintaro: I'm also listening.

Juri: Take it from those who attended a coming of age ceremony~

Kyomoto: I did not attend, how about Kouchi?

Kouchi: I've attended it. Juri had not attended? Ah, you only went to the afterparty..

Juri: That's right. I couldn't attend the ceremony itself.

Hokuto: That's still okay. As for me, I couldn't attend neither the ceremony nor the afterparty because they were held in Shizuoka.

Kouchi: I went to them all, even the 2nd afterparty.

Kyomoto: Kouchi is the only one who enjoyed it very much! LOL. Was it fun?

Kouchi: It was. It's something you can go to only once in your life, so you better go.

Hokuto: I know, right? They sent me some photos later on, and the students' faces looked completely different, I didn't know who's who LOL. Especially the girls, they looked very different.

Kyomoto: Weren't they cute?

Hokuto: Not that but some of them looked gyaru LOL

Juri: Let's go to Shizuoka to see them LOL

Jesse: Maybe it's in woman nature that they change significantly.

Hokuto: Right? Kouchi, when you went to the ceremony and afterparty, did you recognise your old friends' faces right away?

Kouchi: Yes, I didn't feel like "Wow! This guy has changed~" very much.

Juri: I'm the same. I have many old friends that I still see until now.

Shintaro: I have a feeling that I'd be like this too.

Jesse: Since I never meet my old friends at all, I get excited whenever I am able to meet them after a while. I want them to tell me things like "You've gotten fat~" or "You've grown a moustache" while they are touching it.

Kyomoto: You are pretty delueded LOL.

Shintaro: Hey.. should I take a picture there?

Juri: Yes, for commemoration. I didn't attend the ceremony but just in case, I took a picture of me wearing the hamaka only with my mother and my grandmother.

Kyomoto: Ehh! You seriously celebrated it! We don't do things like this at my home. The last celebration my family had was... Shichi-Go-San I think? (note: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/shichi-go-san)

Shintaro: I didn't expect this LOL.

Kyomoto: Either way, I have not realised it myself but I might still be a minor.. ?

Jesse: So you're younger than me LOL. By the way, should we wear the hamaka?

Shintaro: I want to wear it!

Hokuto: Ah! Looks like the hamaka will suit Shintaro. No wait.. I'm saying this but it's happening after 1 year LOL. But surprisingly I think the hamaka will suit Jesse too..?

Kouchi: Yes, wouldn't it be nice?

Kyomoto: He will look Japanese

Hokuto: Oooh! Yes! Japanese culture! Yes! (note: he said it in English.. XD)

Jesse: Why did I suddenly become a foreigner LOL. But I wonder if reserving one will be hard.

Juri: It's not hard because there are lots of hamaka that you can borrow in coming of age ceremony services. But on the other hand, since there are many people dressed in Japanese clothing, it may be OK to be dressed in a nice suit.

Shintaro: I'd grow a beard or something

Hokuto: I'd wear sunglasses

Kyomoto: That's fierce LOL.

Kouchi: That's a "wild ceremony" LOL.

Kyomoto: Ah, it happens in the news every year. And to me, it doesn't make much of a fun impression I guess, because of the image it has.

Kouchi: It's because the "wild" people are few.

Jesse: Okay, to be realistic, around the day of coming of age ceremony, I won't be able to participate in the ceremony itself because I'm appearing in Johnny's Island, but after listening to you talking about the afterparty, I want to go to it. I wonder how many people would come.

Juri: I guess dozens of them were the same students from school.

Jesse: Aha~ By the way, about how much was your budget?

Hokuto: He is really tense LOL.

Juri: ... what.. could it be that.. you're going to pay for the cost of afterparty for everyone?

Shintaro: Awesome!

Jesse: Shall I do that? LOL

Juri: Ah, I remembered something, there were people who brought their children to the afterparty.

Hokuto: Oh I also saw it in the pictures. They brought children who are able to walk

Kyomoto: They have become parents in their teens~

Kouchi: There are quite a few people like that.

Shintaro: One of my classmates also has a child.

Juri: Looking at this, I thought for a moment "What am I doing?" LOL. It's amazing to be in charge of a family at this age.

Jesse: I see~ The coming of age ceremony gathers many lives together. Beside that, if you guys have any advice for the 20 years old me, then please go ahead!

Shintaro: What I can tell you is...

Jesse: Be quiet, younger! LOL

Shintaro: Because you've become an adult, be careful from going over the top.

Jesse: Yes, yes. Anything else?

Hokuto: Kouchi, say something.

Jesse: Nii-san, please.

Kouchi: ... I've already passed the age of 20 years old so, I think you should do a medical checkup.

*Everybody laughed*

Kyomoto: That's actually the most important.

Jesse: That's definitely important.

Juri: Ah! I just came up with something! "Next year, when Shintaro has his coming of age ceremony, he can be an adult who gives good advices." How is that?

Hokuto: I see~ It's nice~

Shintaro: Do it properly, Jesse. Because I want to see how will you look.

Jesse: Cause you're older than me, right?~~ LOL

Shintaro: No but really! am I not the last one to come of age among our group? I want to have a grand celebration with everyone.

Kyomoto: Sorry, Shintaro. Around the time of coming of age ceremony next year, we'll be having our live performance so we won't be able to hold a celebration for you~~

Kouchi: That's right. Sorry~

Shintaro: Won't I be there (in the live performance)? LOL. I'd rather have a live performance than that ceremony~~!

── From now on, I want to have an adult's appeal!

Kouchi: Beside this, do you guys have any memories of others holding a birthday party for you?

Hokuto: For once in my birthday I did the opposite. I gave my parents a travel trip as a present. But because their departure was on that same day (as Hokuto's birthday), I was alone so I spent the time doing the laundry LOL.

Juri: Since my birthday and my older brother's birthday are close to each other, both my friends and his friends gathered at the same time and arranged a grand party for us.

Shintaro: That's a huge party!

Juri: Yes, it was fun!

Jesse: So you're saying memories huh... I've written a letter to my parents on my 20th birthday.

Hokuto: That's a cute memory~

Kouchi: But it's a good thing. I didn't particularly celebrate my 20th birthday with my family, It's because I thought that I've become an adult LOL.

Kyomoto: Can I tell a story that's not about family? Fujigaya-kun once arranged a birthday celebration for me. I remember we went to eat rice and after that he took me to Karaoke. Shintaro seems like someone who would gather all people who are same age as him and then they will have a crazy loud party.

Shintaro: That's right. I have got the social image of someone who can enjoy himself very well everyday, so there are many people who would celebrate with me. Even though I always meet them, if they told me "Happy birthday" once again, I'd become happy.

Hokuto: So, since the end has got to be special, let's end it with Jesse's "Expressing his determination as an adult"

Jesse: From now on, I will not change from the inside. But I also hope I can show an adult appeal more and more. Like coolness, seriousness.

Kouchi: Alright SixTONES, let's have a dinner show.

All: Serious─! LOL

Hokuto: Isn't it still early? We can at least have something like brunch show.

Shintaro: Morning show is also alright.

Juri: Since it's the morning wouldn't all people be eating pancake LOL.

Kyomoto: ... What time is the meeting? the one you're talking about.

Jesse: Anyways, as SixTONES, and also each member of SixTONES, we want to be bigger more than ever!

All: Yes! Let's go for it!

*Everyone gave an applause*

Other corners of the magazine:

Idol theme park: theme: who is "just a little" more handsome than you?

Shintaro: Watanabe Shota-kun. Everyone makes noises during rehearsals and stuff, but the noisiest among all is me, Shota-kun, and Juri LOL. Yet, when we are trying to memorize the choreography, Shota-kun is so fast at it!! As expected from Snow Man, he could do it a little handsomely.
