Master and Commander is one of my favorite movies. One thing I love about it is that it is a prime example of how to adapt a book to the screen. There are certain techniques and devices contained in a novel that do not transfer well to screen, and why make a movie if you're not making something visual and aural? Who doesn't like a nice, ethical message in kids movies? Me. But I limit my distaste to one particular issue: stealing. Am I morally lax? Let's find out.
