Iowa Caucus

Huckabee? Really? I am consistently disappointed by my fellow Americans. The only thing I can say in the man's defense is that he hasn't flip-flopped about his morals. I don't care if someone changes their views on political matters; frequently you gain perspective when you learn more about certain issuse and have to deal with the people involved. What gets me is when candidates flip-flop on moral issues. If you don't think it's wrong, then don't condemn certain actions to get a vote. These people are old enough that they should have reached a level of certainty concerning things like the death penalty, abortions, gay rights, etc. I can accept them if they change their mind regarding foreign policy once they become more familiar with the role of a president.

Frankly, the person with the most presidential experience in this campaign is Hillary. I like Barack, but I don't think that his idealism will practically change the way the White House operates. And I don't think he'll win in the general election because of the rampant and flagrant racism that still exists in this country. If you don't believe me, then leave your metropolis for a while. Hey, you can still get a good feeling of it in a city like San Diego. I can't believe the things that come out of people's mouths regarding non-whites.

Unrelated note: current favorite thing is Chapstick's 100% Natural Lip Butter.

racism, politics, favorite thing
