I noticed today that the house smelled less than pleasant. I think something in the fridge rotted and it just got thrown out. Anyway, about 20 minutes ago I noticed a dramatic difference in the smell. I thought maybe someone was cooking. Then I realized, no, someone was baking, and that someone was my brother.

I filed the FAFSA today, wrote my statement of purpose, and edited it for each individual university I'm sending it to. I confirmed with my mother that she would pay all fees associated with the application process.

Tomorrow:
-ask people for references (Prof. Slankard, but who from library? Nancy? Koven? Gebel?)
-while at library ask for a job over the summer
-request transcripts from Goucher and SB to be sent to each college
-send FAFSA to prospecive colleges
-register for GREs
-fill out applications online, pay fees

Admit it. My rapidly increasing rate of productivity is both intimidating and astonishing. The rate at which I'm updating this journal, however, is probably just annoying.

I missed SVU. Pete called at exactly 10pm. What timing.
I re-read The View From Saturday and finished Measure for Measure. I've started Othello and an introduction to Cultural Studies. The former is on loan from Kiesha and I have a deadline (2 weeks). The latter is more of a pick-up-when-I-feel-inclined sort of book. To have the time to read whatever I want, and a stack of books I have been itching to dive into-this is one of my favorite feelings. Tomorrow, Othello and I will be sitting on the armchair in the living room, in case you need us. But now I think I'm just going to read another story in Dark Water before I call it a night.
