Rather than talk about how stressed I am (I'm doin it 4 Leslie)... I'll talk about my life plan and ask you a question at the end...
(Side note: Kuddos 2 me for turning in scholorship/award stuff on time, for once.)
*coughcough* Here we go.
Applying to: UNT, TSU, Millikin in Illinois
Major: Vocal Performance
Minor: Music Education (Choral)
Get my B.A. in both....
On to Masters and Doctorate @ either: Julliard, Oxford Conservatory of Music, Oberlin University, or the Manhattan School of Music.
*Hopefully* - Do Opera for a couple of years... a few shows... be the cool black women who sing loud and stuff and meet the president (That'd be cool.)
After that: Apply to be a voice teacher at the University status or be a high school teacher for a really awesome high school in texas so that one day I can be President of TMEA and be the hardest/ coolest judge in Texas (I think big).
Then... I'll make my own Choir camp... in the Woodlands... it's gonna be awesome... don't laugh... I'm serious.
So the question is: Should I actually major in Vocal performance or Music Education? Because I do want to perform Opera and stuff because I love that but my voice teacher, choir teachers, and i have been goin back and forth on it for a long time and it got brought up again today and it's got me spazin!
I'd appreciate the advice.
Love ya, Coty
