the morning light brings new things...
If going to Cameroon, going to London,is all a waking dream, it is a dream that has made its way (finally) into my day-to-day scenes.
April 9th last year I wrote:
Warm nights beckon to me
Gray skies smother.
I yearn for thunderstorms
They awake the earth
I traded orange and red for
Pink and white
I traded dark faces
For the cold and pale
I traded blood and sweat
For air fresheners purifiers window cleaners
Deodorizing sanitizing
Wide and dull and spacious
Cleanliness replaced Godliness
-So, if that was last year, and this year I'm hopefully a little bit older and a little bit wiser, what's different? Maybe now I can realize that the adventure never really stopped. The life here is found pumping through the veins of the people who live everyday in this concrete jungle.
-So, when I come back, the sun will rise, the sun will set, and every day is a new adventure. The heavenly plan won't stop when I step off the airplane and it's not 100% humidity anymore.
