So I like to try and read the Popular Books that come out every once in a while, because otherwise I find myself wandering around bookstores seeing very white hands on very black backgrounds offering me apples and wondering why on earth there are so many piles of this book. But! I have found an invaluable resource! Especially for those of us who ( Read more... )

I hope you've read Abundance of Katherine's at least! It has graphs and math in the footnotes. and is generally cute and feel-good.

hmm. I read her books. (if you want the whole story, I found her through Libba Bray, who also writes YA, and who coincidentally just came out with a book called Going Bovine, which is about a boy with mad cow disease going on a road trip. And I love Maureen Johnson's books, so I started reading her blog. And then through her blog I found John Green, so then I read his books, which I also loved. And then I started watching his videos...I'm guessing you are familiar?)

Ah, your route is cooler than mine. Mine started with vlogbrothers videos on youtube, and from there I found Maureen Johnson's blog. I haven't even read any of their books, but I know of Libba Bray from one of Maureen Johnson's videos. I want to read Paper Towns and An Abundance of Katherines, but I keep putting off getting the books...

Hi Rachel!

So I have Paper Towns, because Linden gave it to me for a birthday present. So we should meet up for lunch sometimes like I always say we should every time we bump into each other every 3 months or so! And you can borrow it. Also because I didn't get a chance to actually talk to you at the event (okay so I just realized that if you abbreviate philip merrill scholars you awkwardly get pms and almost typed "the pms event").

ekta told me to read lj today so that is why i have seen your need for Paper Towns! (She said I have to write lots of comments and credit her in all of them).

send me an email sometime and hopefully we can meet up for the shady book drop off/lunch.=)

Sarah

I am so glad that my journal is hosting this (hopefully!) exchange of books. Also, I suggest trench coats and hats.

Hi Sarah!

That would be awesome! We definitely should; I'll send you an e-mail. Also, it's totally abbreviated PMPS. We're presidential scholars. (Congrats!)

Please thank Ekta for me =)
