(no subject)
this morning i got a call at about 10 or so. I had been sleeping until that point. Its my best friend adam. He says he needs help with something he bought so get down to the church quickly.
well i go to the church and they seem to of had this big garage sale thingy. He bought a couch/bed thing.
Its heavy. very heavy. and awkward because it comes apart a few different ways.
so my job was to help get it home. We carried the whole thing for about a block in one piece then he didnt want to do that any more. so we started taking pieces. Each piece weighing a good 100 pounds. Its a very old couch. lots of steel.
well i'm running across the street with this big 100pound 40 yr old piece of a couch on my back while a bus is trying to run me down. He sped up, i swear he sped up.
We finally got it to his place after a long 30 mintues. Dragging it into his place we plut it upstairs and then cleaned his room and moved his tv and dresser and so on out of the way so he could put it in the only place possible. he has a small room.
we lug it in and we get the bottom piece in just barely. We werent so lucky with the other pieces. its probably 2 inches too wide. so we needed to move it out fast. his mom wouldnt of been to pleased with the room out of sorts and this big piece of junk in it. so we had to move it all back downstairs before his mom got out of the shower. we did it in time and ran back up so we couild put his room back the way it was. safe to say this was all too much work for my taste.
then i had to meet my friend rach at her place and then surprise her at her grammas. she was having a surprise party. shes leaving for 4 years so we figured it was a good idea.
it was fun we all hung out around the pool the entire day ofcourse i got a bit burnt. first one of the year. then we went to kyles for afire. it was one of thsoe outside chimney thingys. somewhat like a big candle. i was freezing.
but yeah.
it was a good day
i'm gone in a week.
leaving next monday at 3 in the morning.
i'll be riding the greyhound
