the most names of any dog ever

Oct 26, 2004 23:44

Nands, aka, Nanda, aka Ananda, has taught me that an animal's name should not so much be a word as a sound. there must be many permutations of the sound, so that you can speak to the dog in different tones of voice. my mother calls nanda "Ananda Marie" when she is very upset with her.

Eavan Boland is an Irish poet I like. Have always liked the name. Research led to
Aoibheann - (EE-vuhn) ancient Irish name; traditional, meaning "foar form" or "beautiful sheen." anglicized Eavan.

Aoibheann > Eavan > Eav > Evie

but i'm beginning to think everyone will have a different name for this dog, and i reserve the right to change my mind until tomorrow night. yaya away.

thanks for the help, everyone. she would thank you, too, but she's passed out on the floor with her foot stuck in the air.
