(no subject)
I haven't been online in days, and it actually took considerable effort to convince myself I needed to check my email, and then ended up checking livejournal. I'm in a phone phase. I'd much rather talk to people on the phone right now, mostly because I have only a few minutes for email and never seem to get it together to do more than spit up on the screen a little.
That said... in latest developments i am training to be an Expiditor. A what? What am I expediting? I asked. Food. I get to say things like, "serving a party of 4, 2 fish, 1 scallops, 1 veg!" and "order's up!" It's fun. I like the kitchen. I also had to sit my staff down and remind them to be on time and awake. That wasn't so fun. Particularly had to nag the Russian girl, who I saw with curlers in her hair 5 minutes before work, and who was then 30 minutes late.
My sister's graduation was cold and wet, with many people holding umbrellas and simultaneously yelling at other people to lower their umbrellas. It was funny to see Josie talking to teachers I used to have, and to see her with her friends. She's gotten much more grown up this year, and is a lot more wry and funny with people, the way she is with our family, than I thought she'd be at school.
I wrote for 2 hours yesterday, which made me really happy. Back to work.
