Standardized testing always proves to be an interesting ordeal. (During the GQE, two black girls at my table said I looked "retarded" for having "all them piercings" - yeah.) When I walked in the cafeteria this morning, I knew I couldn't get around some sort of weird situation.
Now for some reason Mrs. Hayden loves to sit us "alphabetically". I figured I'd be in the middle section, near Ari Rivera (since my last name is Roger) but noooooooo. Turns out I was placed at a table with Jake (Sanders). Just me and Jake. Now some of you might be wondering - "What's so bad about that?" Well let me tell you.
Jake is my boyfriend's brother. He hates me. A lot. He says he doesn't like people like me. It was never like this. For the first year we got along really well. And I was surprised cause Jake doesn't like many people. But after the whole Only On Sundays thing last year, he started to ignore me and give me dirty looks.
So I do the same thing. I have no other choice. I've tried to patch things up and talk to him and all that, but nothing works. And it really hurts my feelings - he doesn't know that though. Probably because we're too busy being mean to each other.
But anyways, we were able to keep the peace today. Not that we had much time to talk anyways. But it wasn't as awkward as I thought it'd be. (We were practically ready to fight each other last Friday!)
It doesn't sound like a big deal, but somehow it still is...
Oh yeah, and I bombed that test.
