step-by-step chocolate jamie oliver brownies!

melt 200g dark chocolate and 250g butter together over a pan of hot water.

add 150g nuts, 60g plain flour, 1tsp baking powder and 360g caster sugar to to melted chocolate and stir together

Beat in 4 large eggs.

Pour mixture into a greased and lined baking tray. Jamie Oliver said a 25cm square baking tin but mine was smaller and therefore the brownies took a lot longer to cook and were thicker.

Place in an oven preheated to 180°C/350°F/gas 4 and cook for about 25 mins or however long is needed. Don't use the old 'prick with a skewer until comes out clear' technique though because then they won't be all nice and gooey hmmmm.

Then remove from oven when done and leave to cool slightly in the tray. Then remove onto a chopping board.

My big slab of brownie goodness.

Finished product! Delicious. VERY chocolatey. Absolutely lovely warmed up and served with ice cream.
