Let's have a cheer from everyone!

IT'S TIME TO PARTY.

And no, I will never get tired of alluding to "Nightmare Before Christmas" with this stop-animation devil. EVER!

It's holiday meme time, kids, and this time, M.a.b. means business. I'm not asking for all ten items, but I know there's at least one on here that everyone can do. It's easy, cheap, and a good deed. Oh all right, I'll give it to you: it's #9. There's also #2, some of you already know why I'd be leaning on that one, but I understand that #9 is cheaper, so...onegaishimasu?

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true (NB: leave a comment regarding the wish you're granting!). Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Here goes:

1) I know I harass a special someone for this every year, but on one of my frequent trips through Procrastination Land, I discovered that Cashback is now available through Amazon.ca! So, no pressure to anyone - *huggles Nina* - but now that it's become apparent there is no way in Mogwai hell that I will pay money to see "Twilight," my need for cute Harry Potter boys has been rekindled. So...although there's no pressure whatsoever...on anyone(!)...yeah... *hem hem*

2) Heartless Bitches Black Camisole T-Shirt from HBI.com - proceeds will go to the Morrigan Convalescence Fund for an HBI columnist who is critically ill (update: she has been released from the hospital and is/was apparently en route to Toronto. Small world!)

3) LCBO box set with shot glasses or mug (Tequila Rose - even though I've never tried it - or Starbucks would be cool)

4) A cinnabun-bed day!

5) Something educational for my DS, anything that isn't Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. That game is so addictive, but everyone keeps committing perjury and making my life a living, writhing nightmare.

6) The usual Belgian chocolate seashells, nummy nummy num.

7) A new, "makehen" attitude, as demonstrated nah.

8) LUSH gift card - I can do with $10. $5. Anything! Somebody help me out! J'ai besoin une fixe!

9) Send a letter to Hakamada Iwao, a former professional boxer who was wrongfully tried and convicted of the murder of his boss and family in 1966. He's been the longest death row prisoner in Japan's history. Amnesty International gives you the option of writing to Justice Minister Mori Eisuke, but I think it would be a nice gesture to send Hakamada-san some kind of heartwarming card at this time of year. No snarking needed, that's just my two cents/good deed for the year.

And last, but not least...

10) My sanity

But officially, I will smile for every #9 I get! Like this! :D

*hem hem*
