Back in Action
The past couple of weeks have been an exciting refresh of rl for me as I sent my laptop back into alienware to repair the videocard and CPU Fan. Not a whole lot really seems to have happened in my absence, as my guild has been focusing largely on getting Kael down and really hasn't done much outside of that. It seems that we're starting to get into phase 3 more smoothly each time, so I do feel quite confident that we will be having him down here in the near future barring some sort of regression. That aside, some pretty exciting news occurred during the one day where I was able to make it online within the past two weeks!
As many of you may or may not know, I've been hunting after the Talon of Azshara for a substantial period of time now (ever since we entered SSC) and after 10 weeks of making every Tidewalker kill it dropped..twice in a row..while I was not there. This in itself was very discouraging after all of the work I had put in, but hey, Murphy's law right? Anyhow, during my night online we made a brief stop at SSC in which we downed Hydross, Lurker, and Tidewalker..and it dropped..for the third. week. in. a. row. Needless to say, I was thrilled beyond belief at my change of luck. Maybe it'll be just what we need to get over the top and kill Kael..right? ;)
In terms of gearing up I really don't have a whole lot that I'm really interested in before Black Temple. I passed on Tsunami Talisman tonight after reading up that WSC is significantly better; however, I'm not sure I will be that kind next time as we haven't seen the coil drop in 20+ Void Reaver kills. That in addition to the recent news that our dkp won't carry over from SSC/TK to BT/Hyjal makes me somewhat eager to waste the vast amount of points that I currently hold rather than sitting back and letting others grab certain loots. Aside from the trinket upgrade, I'd really like to grab the Bloodsea Brigand's Vest, Belt of One-Hundred Deaths, and T5 Helm/Leg tokens before we actually get into farming the higher tier content. Unfortunetely 2/4 of those pieces come from Lady Vashj, who we have not even attempted yet, making things look somewhat dire in terms of those pieces. Oh well..2.4 soon will open up a lot of other doors gear-wise. Until then the weather prediction is Kael, Kael, and more Kael...repair bills ftw! :)
