What was i doing at Flipside besides erecting the Vodou altar for the Zombie Wedding?
A number of you may have seen me playing Satan in The Mystery Play The Creation of Adam & Eve... And Their Subsequent Fall From Grace @ The Glory Hole or at our guerilla performance down by the creek?
But the sequel to The Cthulhu Devival was unveiled in a somewhat more hermetic manner:
With the assistance of Paije, one of our initiates previous to Flipside, we had made some Elder Signs which I gifted to the worthies that I encountered in Pyropolis, under the auspices of The "What *The BLOOP* Do we Know?" Project... I preferred to speak &/or otherwise connect with individuals and small groups about the ideas... so, throughout the process of distributing The Elder Signs, I mostly focussed on improvisational art projects such as Peripatetic Détournement and Trance Dancing into Erotocomotose Lucidity.
One way to desribe the function of The Elder Sign is that it is a talisman which can summon and bind forces of the Unknown...
So, with that in mind, I have suggested that we use The Elder Sign when discussing that which is beyond our ability to understand or explain. Perhaps not unlike the idea of the Tai Chi symbol, which is used by Taoists... even though, in the Tao Te Ching, it is written: "The Tao that can be spoken is not The Eternal Tao!" ...and you thought that I was going to mention He Who Shall Not Be Named? (The Magnum Innominandum?)
Out at Flipside, I heard stories from people about their own individual contact with an incredible variety of unknown & unexplained experiences: synchronicities, prophesies, UFO's & alien contact, ghosts, past lives, angels, demons, faeries, & mysterious undersea creatures, healing the sick & dying with herbal remedies & faith healing, survival through natural disasters & wars, schizophrenia, depression, & psychosis, and warning signs of impending ecological cataclysm, just to name a few of the personal stories that were shared with me!!!

And now, in our home improvement dept: it's time to peel off the proverbial yellow wallpaper and celebrate with some even more decadent symbolism... with futurity's interior design consultation, we're going to literally lay down some new tile in the living room! and when we're done with that, we'll be ready to host some regular gatherings ...hey, what's that runaway-freight-train-like sound? ...tekeli-li, Tekeli-Li, TEKELI-LI!
Ah, yes... this must be the signal for which we were waiting! " At ye proper time... ye beings there will direct thought-currents toward us and cause it to be discovered." ...after the initial inspiration, i have experienced occasional reminders that now it is time to create a new forum/salon ...we will soon be ready to continue The Great Work, already in progress...
