wednesday night,
pinkflesh17 & i managed to check out the tail end of the
amoda showcase... if we had only seen
mrfang's
last minute post, we would have been there earlier... by the time we got there, most of the artists were done for the evening... however, i would like to offer particular kudos to "
_grau," the amorphous, organic animations by
Robert Seidel, which were playing when we got there:
yeah, i would generally have lj-cut it in the first place; but it was so beautiful that i wanted everyone to see it... through this experience, i figured out how to resize images in html (duh!)... and now that ithe entry is sufficiently in the past so as not to cludge up everyone's friends pages in any case, i have removed the lj-cut again!
ironically/curiously enough, Robert Seidel says that the animation was inspired by "memories coming up during a car accident, where past events emerge, fuse, erode and finally vanish ethereally"
...reminds me of
j.g. ballard's
crash...
in other news, i really need to figure out where to move... anybody got any leads?
