I&I have an inherent distrust of psychology's basis in "artsy-craftsy philosophical soft science," but it's certainly worth a laugh sometimes.
ruminating about this "soft-science" issue produced some amusing links:

Beyond the Physical - Science and Occultism: 3.1 The "Hard" And The "Soft" Sciences
Beyond the Physical - Science and Occultism: 9.0 Just What Do We Mean By A Science Of Psychology?
and here's an all-time favorite "artsy-craftsy philosophical soft science model:"
RAW's rendition of Leary's 8-circuit model of human consciousness
in the section concerning the Neuro-Atomic Circuit (VIII), there is this reference...
"Leary now symbolizes intelligence-studying-intelligence by the mark, I². On the lower levels, you see with one "I", so to speak. On the higher levels, you see with many "I"s, and space-time shifts from three Euclidean dimensions to non-Euclidean multi-dimensionality."
so, that must be where the rasta patois is commin' from...
"Rastafari speech eliminates you, me we, they, etc., as divisive and replaces same with communal I and I. Thus, I and I embraces the congregation in unity with the Most I (high) in an endless circle of inity (unity)."
so, how can the interactions of individuals in a community be measured through hard science?
there is a fundamental irony with such a question...
at the roots of hunter-gatherer culture can be found the idea that one should not calculate a gift.
