Going to start dumping WIPs in here again. Current "fandoms" include original fic, baseball RPF (gen and parody, mostly,) various old as dirt manga and anime. Perhaps Honorverse, if I don't get caught up in fangirling Jason Isringhausen instead of the man I'm mentally casting him as. -

I've decided not to do Yuletide this year. I have so much other stuff that I'd like to write that I already have ideas for that I don't really need to challenge myself to write with someone else's ideas.
Also, I have a giant book backlog that's only getting worse because I've been spending entirely too much time watching baseball. -

thoughts on rereading, and other stuff
Reread bits of At All Costs and, really, is canon going towards pairing off Theisman and Pritchart? It makes me feel all...euw at the same time I can see where it would happen. Such a disaster, which makes it oh-so-plausible.
I also reread "From the Highlands" and realized the reason I liked Victor better here than in Crown of Slaves is that it's ( Read more... ) -

I've been discussing getting my writing started with a friend (who said "Bunnies easy, writing hard") and I really need to get my butt in gear for one or more of my various original fiction projects. To that end, I've joined novel_in_90. Let's see how far I get. -

I'm reading an unnamed novel right now (published by Baen, though, if that gives you any hints) which rather reminds me of what would happen if Tomo, Osaka, and Kagura collaborated on a novel and then had Yukari-sensei edit it.
What I really want to see is Yomi's commentary on the thing. -

I think I just committed myself to finally write the story of Ivan Vorpatril and the Mokona Tree.
The most amazing thing about that fic idea is that it makes perfect sense in both canons. I still have no idea what would possess Yuuko and Mark Vorkosigan to meet up...but somehow raising a tree full o' Mokonas sounds like a Mark idea. -

another stupid idea I had: a Lupin III/From Eroica with Love/Without a Trace crossover. Because, really, Zenigata, Klaus, and Jack Malone working on the same case? Instant hilarity! Or something like that.
