Bleach? Is that supposed to be therapeutic or for purifying the water? We used baking soda along with the other two ingredients.

I agree that it is incredibly useful, but my opinion of it was somehow tainted by the volunteer who expressed (in the middle of a health training session) "it tastes like cum".

That would have come in handy like a month ago when I was having palpitations and unable to stand due to severe dehydration (of my own doing). I too wonder what the purpose of the bleach is though. If you're already using safe water can you skip that part??

Yeah, I think the bleach is to disinfect, though I can't be sure. It may have some anti-stomach acid component I suppose, since I recall bleach being used to neutralize acid spills back in High School chem.
