I was up early this morning. Before 5:00 am. Last night I had thought of getting up early when I heard that there was going to be a full lunar eclipse during the night. I don't know if it was that thought that woke me, or just couldn't lay on my back any longer (limited sleeping positions at present) but I woke early. Unfortunately at that time the ( Read more... )

I was up early too...we had a really severe rain storm roll through around 3:30 this morning, which triggered a visit from my daughter into our bed. I never did really sleep after that.

Oy! I guess I shouldn't complain. I hope your day isn't too long.

well I know sometimes taking photos with a limited digital zoom can be frustrating, I have the same problem with most night photos with my own camera. I've been wanting an digital slr where I could change the lenses as in seeing other people's amazing photos on flickr with nicer cameras...

Now the camera I have is really pretty good and was given to me as a gift my second Christmas with my boyfriend by him, and he would be very sad if I stopped using it as he was so proud he was able to buy me a present I would enjoy and be surprised by.

sorry to hear sleeping in certain positions is not comfortable yet, but I'm just glad to hear you are home and mending. When is your run ? I'd still like to donate before it, if I've missed it already, please forgive me, it's been a lil hectic on this end of the country lately :)

Originally Hubby and I were going to do the Weekend to End Breast Cancer walk in early August. However he has pretty bad arthritis in one hip and I have a less than stable knee so we thought 60 kms might be a bit much. So now we are going to do the CIBC Run for the Cure (you can walk) on September 30.

Here is the link to my page: CIBC Run for the Cure

I'm glad that you were able to view the eclipse, even if only partially. A pretty good picture too considering the simplicity of your camera not being a digital SLR.

Hope you get some rest too, being overly tired isn't a good way to recover to full health.

Maybe some day we'll get a digital camera with different lens options.

and at the moment I am having the opposite problem. I have a decent kodak slr but I seldom end up using it because I can't afford the cool lenses and because it is so big to take places :S oi... 5Mp wanna swap?

I am glad you got to see part of the eclipse. We didn't get to see this one, by the time it occured the moon was below the horizon. I hope you are feeling well and healing well. Take care.

THANK YOU for posting this picture. I really wanted to see this eclipse, but my hours are crazy this week. I contented myself by reading about it.

The picture is perfect. That is exactly what I would have seen, had I been awake. Ha.

Thank you.

Rest up. It sounds like you are doing well.

Aw gee. Thanks. I've decided that I've got to go back and read more about my digital camera so that I can use it to it's full capability. I'm sure that there is a lot that I don't know or have forgotten.
