I was up early this morning. Before 5:00 am. Last night I had thought of getting up early when I heard that there was going to be a full lunar eclipse during the night. I don't know if it was that thought that woke me, or just couldn't lay on my back any longer (limited sleeping positions at present) but I woke early. Unfortunately at that time the moon was too low on the horizon for me to see it because of all the trees in our neighborhood. Hubby called shortly after leaving for work to tell me where to look and I went out to have another go. The moon was higher but only just visible over the trees and there wasn't much of the shadow over the moon left. I have a basic digital camera that suits most of my feeble attempts at photography but this morning I wished that I had something a little more powerful and with a different lens. This is the picture I got, using maximum zoom. *sigh*




It doesn't look like much but I'm glad I got to at least see the fading moments of the eclipse.
